What Is Screen For Life?

Screen For Life (SFL) is a national screening programme by the Health Promotion Board (HPB). Under this screening programme, eligible Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents (PRs) are encouraged to go for regular, subsidised health screenings, recommended based on age and gender.

Screen For Life Singapore

SFL aims to make screening and follow-up accessible to all Singaporeans. For any medical condition, early detection and appropriate intervention are key to avoid further risks and complications.

Screen For Life Subsidies Eligibility

Your eligibility will depend on:

  • Your age & gender
  • The date of your last screening
  • Whether you have been diagnosed with chronic diseases or selected cancers (such as cervical or colorectal)

Contact us to check your eligibility for Screen for Life subsidies and make an appointment for your SFL screening.

Cost Of Screen For Life In Singapore

Singapore Citizens

  • Pioneer Card (SGD$0)
  • Merdeka Generation (SGD$2)
  • Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) Card Blue Or Orange (SGD$2)
  • Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) Card Green (SGD$5)
  • Eligible Singapore Citizens (SGD$5)

For Singapore Citizens, this fixed fee covers the screening test(s) done within the same visit, and the first post-screening consultation, if assessed that a consultation is required. Note that individuals who undergo their screening test(s) on a separate visit will be charged a separate fixed fee. Also, the above prices are only for CHAS General Practitioner (GP) clinics.

Singapore Permanent Residents

Although Permanent Residents are not eligible for SFL subsidies, they can still enjoy HPB’s screening test rate(s) at CHAS GP clinics. However, prevailing doctor consultation rates will be charged accordingly by the respective CHAS GP clinics. Please contact us at 6250 6548 for our rates and schedule an appointment for your SFL screening.

The Benefits Of Screen For Life

Health screening programme allows silent killers to be detected early, empowering you with the knowledge to diagnose, manage, and even reverse these medical conditions. In fact, the optimal time to go for a health screen is when you still feel good. The cost of screening and one post-screening consultation (if required) has been largely subsidised to make healthcare more affordable for Singapore Citizens. Therefore, you should go for regular health screenings to be more aware of your health status and take early precautions if necessary.

FAQ About Screen For Life In Singapore

  • Why Should I Go For Singapore Health Screening?

Treatments are always more effective when the medical condition detected is in its early stage.

Going for regular health screening programme and follow-ups with the same GP will help develop a lifelong patient-doctor relationship. This will allow your GP to better manage your existing medical conditions in the long term.

Contact us at 6250 6548 to schedule your Screen For Life appointment.

  • How Do I Apply For Screen For Life?

There is no application required for Screen For Life. Eligible Singaporeans for SFL will receive a letter of invitation from the Health Promotion Board (HPB).

  • What Does The Screen For Life Subsidy Cover?

The SLF subsidy covers your screening programme visit, which includes the cost of the recommended screening tests done within the same visit, as well as the doctor’s consultation fee. It also covers the first follow-up consultation fee if you have been assessed to require one.

However, if you opt to go for your screening test(s) on your next visit, you will be charged a separate fixed fee.
