Fillers

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are used to restore youth and volume to the face as well as to enhance existing facial features. As we age, our skin begins to lose elasticity and natural hydration. This combined with the effects of gravity can lead to lines wrinkles and sagging of the skin.

Which areas can be treated with Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are excellent in restoring volume and plumpness to the following areas:
  • - Lips
  • - Chin
  • - Cheeks
  • - sunken under eyes
  • - nose
  • - forehead
  • - temples
  • - jawline
Restoring volume to key areas in the face can lead to a natural lift which will shave off years of ageing from a person’s face resulting in a fresher and more youthful, balanced appearance.

What is the procedure like?
Before any dermal filler injection, you will be consulted by one of our doctors who will thoroughly discuss and lay out a treatment plan for you. The skin is then prepared with numbing cream for about 30 minutes to improve the comfort level which most patients are able to tolerate well.

During the procedure itself dermal fillers are administered using small needles or blunt needles called cannulas. Depending on the areas being treated the whole procedure does not take long and with our skilled injectors it will feel effortless and fast. Results are instantly seen and patients are reviewed at 2 weeks for any fine tuning if needed.

What happens after the procedure?
Mild swelling and bruising may occur depending on the individual and the areas treated, this will usually last about a week or so. Normal activities can be resumed after the procedure but vigorous exercise and exposure to extreme heat should be avoided to prevent worsening of swelling or bruising.

How long will the results last?
Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are completely safe and are biocompatible with our skin. They naturally dissolve with time and results can last between 8-10 months depending on the type of filler used in your case.

Dr Wenus Ho and Dr Juliana Latif draw on their many years of experience to contour the face like sculpted art by skillfully placing fillers in specific points to provide maximal “wow” effects for her patients. Her gentle approach and nature puts her patients at ease and makes the procedure much less uncomfortable.

Our clinic currently stocks various kinds of HA dermal fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Revanesse) to give a fully customisable program suited to each patient’s individual needs. Effects of Dermal HA fillers vary from individual to individual and areas treated but on average can last about 12 months.

Tear Trough / Dark Eye Circles

Majority of patients as early as their 30’s complain of hollow, sunken under eye circles resulting in a daily feeling of looking tired and old. This area requires very careful and skillful placement of the product to avoid undesirable outcomes, of which Dr. Wenus Ho has had a lot of experience in treating. The overall effect is a fresher and less tired under eye appearance.

Nasolabial / Smile Lines

These are the lines that form between the lower nose and corners of the mouth which deepen with age. New techniques of treating this area now address the root cause which comes from volume loss in the mid cheek, whereas older techniques used to result in a “sausage” appearance in the nasolabial region. Gentle restoration of volume loss in the mid face followed by subsequent treatment of the nasolabial results in a very natural youthful and freshened appearance.

V-Shape

HA fillers can also be used to achieve the much coveted V-shape face by improving the appearance of the chin. Dr. Wenus Ho is very skilled at analyzing the facial proportions and creating a chin that best suits the individual patient. The results for the V-shape is best achieved when combined with neurotoxin injections to slim the jawline.
